CS Survey Responses

Every week Community Safety requests survey responses from those who've had interactions with a member of the Community Safety team. These responses are always collected anonymously with the option for the responder to leave contact information if they would like for a member of Community Safety management to contact them, and are used internally for departmental performance tracking. Community Safety has opted to publish these survey results for transparency and community accountability. *Names and pronouns mentioned in survey responses will be redacted to protect the privacy of individuals.

In addition to surveys sent directly to those who have interacted with Community Safety, the Reed community is always encouraged to independently complete the survey regarding Community Safety's performance.

You can take the survey here:

Unlock Met expectations
Vehicle Assist Met expectations
Unlock Surpassed expectations CSO was fun, helpful, and understanding. Good time 10/10
Unlock Met expectations
Unlock Surpassed expectations
Medical Assist Below expectations When responding to a first degree burn, community safety procedure was well below expectations. The only reason we called CSOs was because our first aid kit was out of the necessary medical tape and sterile gauze that should be used in covering a burn. Despite their supposed first aid certification, the responding CSOs were unable to distinguish between self adhering medical tape and gauze, resulting in the self adhering medical tape being wrapped directly onto the burn. This caused pain to the patient. I am appalled by this response and would hope that you would not consider this response outside of CSO purview. Because if you can’t respond to something as simple as a first degree burn, why would Anyone ever call CSOs for medical intervention? And how are you certified? CSOs need to have their first aid response tested and their knowledge retaught, clearly.
